Progressives (or multifocals, no-line bifocals) are lenses with 3 zones of focus but no hard lines.
Althought you get the benefit of having no line in your lenses, Progressives will have areas of distortion on either side of the lens.
As we age, It becomes more difficult to look at objects that are close to our eyes. This is a
very common condition called Presbyopia. Most people first notice when they have trouble reading
fine print, or when they have headaches after reading, due to eyestrain.
Bifocals were
invented
to alleviate this condition by adding a reading power to the bottom half of the lens, so that
people could see distance as normal, then look down for a reading power.

These progressives have a wider intermediate and reading viewing area, but pull back on the prescription slightly. These are only recommended for first time progressive users.
These progressives have 2 viewing areas, Intermediate (up to 14 feet away), and Near (reading distance). These are meant for office distances, not for driving or normal outdoor use.
Like the Office Progressives, these have 2 zones, one for intermediate (up to 4 feet away), and one for Reading distance. These are not for use while driving.
These lenses are tailored toward sports like golf, where you need to be able to see distance, but also need to be able to mark your score or read.

Specifically for driving, these lenses have a wide distance area, so that you do not need to turn your head while driving in order to see the mirrors.
These progressive lenses are tailored to mobile and tablet users over 40 year of age. They have a wide viewing area for distance and near vision.
Similar to our regular progressives that provide distance to near vision and everything in between, this premium design provides wider viewing areas, ideal for experienced progressive users.
